A welcome word to our new season

Dear Members, dear Friends,

Autumn has arrived again. I hope you have all enjoyed a good summer. I know that some members are still away.

Let’s start with a piece of good news. You are now able to look at our homepage and receive information in a readable form on your smart phones and tablets (www.austrobrits.org ). Our layout has had to be altered but all the previous information such as reviews or programmes is still there. Please pass this information around. Many thanks to our computer specialist, who has spent a great amount of time working for us.

On our homepage you will find photos and reviews of all our events this year. The photos are of course in the album in the society rooms for anyone who calls in to look at.

Vienna’s English Theatre will not be in Innsbruck until 3rd March 2020. I think some young people do not like driving on Tyrol’s roads in the winter.

We have our usual events such as Pancake Tuesday and the Christmas Party as well as talks and our regular Tuesdays.

In the spring of 2020 those members of the Austro-Brits who wish to join us will have the 5th chance to explore some lesser known places in UK. Next year, from the city of Birmingham we will visit Shakespeare’s home of Stratford- upon - Avon , Warwick Castle and Leamington Spa, the Black Country Museum at Dudley, and travel on a “narrow boat” instead of only watching them on the canals.

We are looking forward to seeing you all, members old and new. Please remember that membership fees are due.
